Desus Nice and The Kid Mero are chasing an EGOT – that is, trying to win an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and a Tony. So to help them reach their goal, they enlisted the help of Lin-Manuel Miranda, a Tony winner himself, to tell the story of Babe Ruth – or as they know him, Beivi Rodriguez, a Dominican baseball player. (Also, LOL at Lin-Manuel for not immediately catching onto the bit.)

Before the trio gets started on the Babe Ruth musical, Lin-Manuel gives them a few pointers, so they know how to formulate the musical. With that knowledge and Lin at the piano, Desus (Babe’s mother) and Mero (Beivi) have an emotional scene. Then, Desus (now Jackie Robinson) and Mero (still Beivi) have an interaction – even though, as Lin points out, the two didn’t play baseball at the same time.

The entire premise for the musical is brilliantly nonsensical, but honestly, I’d watch it. Check out the Desus & Mero clip below.
