What would you do if you found out your favorite Mexican restaurant was going out of business? Show up during the final day and eat as many puffy tacos as humanly possible?

While it sounds like a tasty idea, one man in Los Angeles got a bit more creative when he learned his favorite restaurant was shutting its doors. He sat in a kiddie pool full of very watery bean dip.

To attract customers into Los Toros restaurant in L.A., Hunter Ray Barker decided to kick back and relax in the bean brew for 24 hours. During the stunt, he wore a t-shirt and face mask featuring the Los Toros logo. He also said he was getting a tattoo of the logo, too.

“We have a golden opportunity to grab the bull by the horns and support local businesses in a big explosive way and so why not?” Barker told Reuters.

Lost Toros owner Nicolas Montano was taken aback by Barker’s offer. No one had ever wanted to sit in a pile of beans for his business before. But there’s always a first time for everything.

“I was like ‘Are you sure? Are you sure you want to do this?’” Montano told Reuters. “And he goes, ‘Yeah, I think it would be fun and it’s something I want to help the business.’”

We won’t get into the particulars of how Barker was able to use the restroom during this time, but let’s just say those beans definitely were not for consumption after he removed himself from the plastic pool. Still, other patrons of Los Toros seemed impressed by his frijole feat.

“He’s going to sit in that for 24 hours, it’s totally crazy,” said customer Rick Brantley. “I wouldn’t do it but you know what? If it’s going to help Los Toros and the community, I’m all for it.”
