Mexi-Kenyan Lupita Nyong’o has taken her rightful spot on the cover of Vogue‘s October issue. This is the queen’s second Vogue issue, but if you’ve seen her on even one red carpet, then you know she deserves all the covers. From her interview for the issue, I learned that to channel Nyong’o, you need to have “precision-plucked” eyebrows and “the soul of an 80-year-old woman.”
She also participated in Vogue‘s quick-fire Q&A session, where she talked about everything from what the most American phrase is to Brooklyn and Star Wars (she’s a Han Solo kinda gal). Throughout the video, she was able to rep both Mexico and Kenya. She said that our girl Frida Kahlo is the one historical figure she’d love to have pineapple juice with, and she briefly talked about Mexican cuisine.
