Thursday night at the Latin Grammys was supposed to be about honoring Marc Anthony’s decades-long musical career. Instead, the night ended with people shipping the married Anthony and his ex-wife, Jennifer Lopez. After performing a medley of his hits, J. Lo – all dressed in white – appeared to sing their cover of Pimpinela’s “Olvídame y pega la vuelta.” After a pretty passionate performance, the former couple hugged it out – though the audience wasn’t happy with that.
As J. Lo spoke about why Marc deserved recognition as the Latin Recording Academy’s person of the year, the audience shouted, “beso, beso, beso,” until they finally wore J. Lo and Marc down.
Since then, people have reacted like this:

It’s literally the biggest thing to have come out of the show, and Anthony – possibly trying to deflect from the situation – decided to go on a kissing spree. This morning on Twitter, he’s shared pictures of himself kissing members of his entourage and using the hashtags #elbesoeffect, #magnusstrong, and #whatsurbeso.
