Mario Lopez Set to Host 2024 Miss Universe Finale in Mexico

Mexican-American Mario Lopez is set to host the 73rd Edition of the Miss Universe pageant grand finale, which will take place in the Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico, on November 16. Lopez was announced as the host in an Instagram post on the official Miss Universe account.
“BREAKING NEWS!” the post was captioned, in both Spanish and English. “We’re excited to announce that @MarioLopez, a renowned figure in American television, will host our grand finale. With over 30 years of experience in the entertainment industry, his charm, commitment, and passion ensure a night to remember. 🎤”
Lopez was a former host of The X-Factor and is perhaps better known for his role as A.C. Slater on Saved by the Bell, a role he also reprised for the show’s revival. He has also appeared on Dancing With the Stars and America’s Best Dance Crew. He is currently the host of the Game Show Network series Blank Slate and the host of Access Hollywood, a weekly television entertainment news program.
The Miss Universe Organization has yet to announce other hosts or performers for the event. But they have announced that Cuban-American musician Emilio Estefan and digital entertainment star Lele Pons have joined the 2024 Miss Universe selection committee.
The hosts for the 72nd edition of the pageant, which took place last year in El Salvador, were Mexican actress and TV host Jacky Bracamontes and Ecuadorian actor, host, and model Danilo Carrera.
The 2024 Miss Universe pageant will air live on Telemundo on Saturday, November 16, 2024 with Mario Lopez leading the night.
