Naya Rivera’s sister, model Nickayla Rivera, and ex-husband, actor Ryan Dorsey, have reportedly moved in together to raise her 5-year-old son, Josey. The 33-year-old actress died in a shocking drowning accident during a boat trip on California’s Lake Piru on July 8th. We can only imagine how difficult it’s been for her family to grieve.

Before her untimely death, the Glee star shared custody over her son with her ex-husband. Although the duo had separated and were no longer romantically linked, they prioritized creating a happy and healthy life for their son. When Naya Rivera died, Ryan took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message about how he’ll honor her life and make sure her son knows just how much she loved him.

“I’m thankful for our times and our journey that brought us together and gave us the sweetest and kindest smart little boy we could ever hope for…I have hundreds and probably thousands of snaps and videos that Josey will have forever and know his momma loved him more than life, and how much fun we had together as he was growing up. Life is all about good times and bad times but with Josey it makes the bad a little less so because a part of you will always be with us. He’ll never forget where he came from. We miss you. We will always love you. Love you Meep.”

The 25-year-old has shared her “unconditional love” for Josey and just how much she adores her nephew on Instagram in the past. She’s allegedly stepped into a mother-like role, likely to provide a stable upbringing for her sister’s young son. Nickayla Rivera and Dorsey are rumored to be living in a three-bedroom home in California. The co-parents were seen shopping recently at Target for household items and seemed to be in good spirits.
