Pokémon Go reinvigorated (and for some, established) people’s love for the pocket monsters. But the truth is that Pokémon’s had a loyal fanbase for decades. That’s why in Guatemala City, Poké-Con – dubbed the largest Pokémon gathering in Central America – will take place next week, according to Guatemala.com. About 2,000 people have already shown interest in attending the con, which goes from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

According to Anicorp Guatemala’s Facebook page, the actors who dub Ash Ketchum and Brock into Spanish will be on hand at Parque de la Industria on October 2 to make the event extra memorable. Other than trying to get them to speak like their characters, there will also be raffles, contests, video game tournaments, and karaoke.

And because the vast Pokémon universe offers the perfect opportunity to tap into their creativity, Poke-Con will also host a cosplay contest. Tbh, this seems like a great reason to re-watch the show and copy one of Jesse and James’ costumes. Learn more about Poké-Con here.
