Every once in a while, a concert bill is announced that’s pretty much jaw-droppingly perfect and will reaffirm your faith that there’s still some good left in the music industry that doesn’t consist of Juanes or Daddy Yankee. Reventón 2012 by L.A. radio station Super Estrella 107.1 FM is one of those concerts.
Reventon 2012 will bring Mexican megastar Café Tacvba to the Staples Center on August 10 where they’ll share the stage with Argentine rockeros Enanitos Verdes and Tijuanense singer-songwriter Julieta Venegas.
That could be enough to send us into giddy fits of excitement but Super Estrella went the extra mile putting those big dollars into good deeds and added even more. The aforementioned musicians will also be joined by Spanish pop/rock outfit Hombres G, Chile’s Beto Cuevas (formerly of La Ley but you already knew that), Spanish artist Mikel Erentxun, chilanga hair metal parody outfit Moderatto and Monterrey’s Kinky.
