RUMOR MILL: Rita Indiana has canceled her NYC shows! The electro-mambera was poised to hit the stage at Celebrate Brooklyn! alongside Bomba Estéreo and La Secta All Star on July 23rd. But close sources have told us that Indiana canceled that set, as well as upcoming performances at SOB’s. Qué pasó?
For now, the only performance Indiana hasn’t canceled is her show at uptown’s Umbrella on July 10. Sources also tell us that she recently signed with Vidal Cedeña Management, the main bookers of the merengue world (Eddy Herrera, Sergio Vargas, Tulile, Los Adolescentes, etc. etc. etc.).
But why cancel Celebrate Brooklyn!? THE Celebrate Brooklyn!? Although Celebrate Brooklyn! themselves claim she’s still on the bill. Hmm.
