The biggest party on New Year’s Eve is returning to Puerto Rico, and Roselyn Sánchez will be there for all the festivities once again.
The Caribbean island is taking the global stage for the second year in a row when it hosts Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2023. Sánchez will serve as co-host alongside Seacrest, a role she performed splendidly last year. The Spanish-language countdown event will take place on the grounds of the Puerto Rico Convention Center and next door at DISTRITO T-Mobile.
“I am beyond excited and honored to return to my homeland Puerto Rico to be a part of such an incredible and beloved event,” Sanchez said in a statement. “We will have an enchanting night and are so very pleased to share our beautiful island and welcome 2023 with a bang!”
Farruko will also be in attendance to perform live at the event. Also providing entertainment will be Gilberto Santa Rosa, El Reencuentro, and DJ King Arthur. “What a blessing to be a part of the New Year’s Rockin’ Eve tradition from my home island of Puerto Rico that represents and means so much!” Farruko said. “We are going to give you guys an unforgettable night! You can’t miss it. See you on the 31st!”
Last year, Sánchez told Remezcla that she was excited to spend New Year’s with her family and to also “showcase a part of my hometown.”
Mariela Vallines Fernández, Executive Director of the Puerto Rico Convention District Authority, said they were pleased that ABC and Dick Clark Productions chose their island to host the celebration again. “We look forward to sharing the beauty of our destination and our spectacular venue…with the world for a second time.”
Puerto Rico’s countdown will take place at 11 p.m. EST on December 31, 2022, on ABC.
