Unlike many of us gearing up to go home for the holidays and be spoiled by our loved ones, Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy’s visit home ended with him getting punched in the face on Wednesday. During a campaign event in his hometown of Pontevedra, which is in Galicia, a teenager approached the conservative politician and hit him straight on, according to the BBC.

The teen was arrested, and Rajoy had to continue his visit with a big red mark on his face. Also, his glasses were broken as a result. As a glasses wearer, I feel his pain.

He later tweeted about the incident and said he was cool.
