Following its smashing success at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, The Art of Video Games’ debut in South Florida is sure to please gamers of any age. Experiment with interactivity and geek out playing with systems from different eras, from Atari to Playstation. The exhibit includes still images and video footage of 80 games, focusing on the evolution of wicked graphics and the art of storytelling.

Art fairs tend to showcase art, rather than incubate it. Art Live 2012 promises to do just that during three days of positive energy, artistry, and community. Performance artists, painters, graffers, and videographers will create spontaneously, engaging attendees in an interactive experience. Over 30 artists, including the TM Sisters, Liz Ferrer, Ultra Violet and the Miami Poetry Collective will be there making their marks. Proceeds benefit the Lotus House Women’s Shelter.
