¡Ché, boludos!
The new pope is the former Archbishop of Buenos Aires, Jorge Mario Bergoglio, the first South American pope. He’ll be known as a Pope Francis I (named for a saint known for humility, poverty…). He’s also a Jesuit, which, as a graduate of a Jesuit high school, I think is kind of awesome.
Aside from that, you know, he’s got a lot of the stuff going down that we could complain about with any other candidate.
No word yet on whether, as an Argentine, he’ll relax the whole meat-on-Fridays thing. Julianne Escobedo-Shepherd sums up Remezcla’s stance, though.
