Trust Your Struggle Strengthens LA

The Trust Your Struggle Collective landed in LA this past weekend, making their marks on the walls of IMIX Bookstore.

Hailing from the Bay Area, artists Borish, Tres, CeCe, Bounce (pictured), Yoshi, Shaun, EZC, Mikey and Oba have been traveling all over the U.S. spreading the good word about art’s ability to heal communities. Through grafitti, murals and paintings, the Trust Your Struggle crew connected with individuals/organizations in different neighborhoods of New Orleans, Atlanta, Flagstaff, Texas, NY, SF, and LA, with messages of solidarity and the power of unity.

Remezcla.com cruised to Eagle Rock in order to check out the new piece at IMIX and found a gathering of mostly Bay Area and LA peeps. Local artist Frame, who’s been holding down the mural scene in LA, was there with some Puerto Rican grafitti artists, and IMIX gallery owner Elisa Garcia-Rodriguez had the bomb cucumber/lemonade drink on lock.

Chicana artist Timoi painted her signature pop surrealist girl power image, which added some really good feminine energy to the mix.

On display at IMIX now. For more on the Trust Your Struggle Collective, check out http://trustyourhustle.blogspot.com.
