Congratulations to Uptown artist Paola “Dominican Pie” Soto for being featured in the cover story of Dominican magazine Mujer Única. The piece is titled Promesas del cine dominicano, and features a photoshoot with ten female Dominican filmmakers. In the piece, Pie discusses her past projects in theater and film – acting, directing, and writing – and reveals what’s on the horizon, namely that she’s writing her first play that’s entirely in Spanish, and she’s about to premiere a new play in New York.
