Remember “Mickey,” the now-classic early ’80s ditty about being so fine it blows your mind? Of course you do. Who doesn’t? It gave cracked-out cheerleaders everywhere a song to clap and cartwheel aggressively to. Now, over 30 years later, its creator Toni Basil (alongside Matt Dilmore) has assumed the director reins on CSS’s newest video, “Hangover,” off the band’s upcoming Planta. Featuring quirky choreography from Basil herself (who’s choreographed for Talking Heads, David Bowie, and the highly underrated That Thing You Do!), the ladies of CSS don’t do that much organized dancing themselves. Instead, the charming video takes a look at some corporate hands letting loose in their blindingly beige office.
