His most recent post is a touching music video featuring his rendition of the song “Me Olvidé De Vivir.” The video includes photos and archival footage of the duo throughout the years. At the start of the montage, a clip of Alejandro as a boy dressed in full mariachi regalia is displayed. Vicente is standing proudly beside him on stage and kisses him on the forehead when Alejandro finishes performing.
“And it only remains to say that they love and take advantage of every second to their loved ones,” Alejandro posted with the video. “Remind them how important they are to you and enjoy them daily. I always enjoyed mine.”
On Sunday (December 12), El Charro de Huentitán died at the age of 81. After a public viewing, the legendary ranchera singer was interred this week during a private ceremony at Los Tres Potrillos, his ranch in Tlajomulco de Zúñiga, Jalisco, near Guadalajara.
All week long, condolences and well wishes were pouring in for the Fernández family, including from other giants in the music industry like Beyoncé and George Strait.
Other celebrities reacted to the video Alejandro just posted about Vincente Fernández. One of the first people to respond was singer Thalia.
“What a beauty, my Alex,” she wrote to Alejandro. “What a great blessing, so many wonderful moments with your two loves, your Father and music. You are a very lucky being to have lived this story so full of love. We love you very much, Mi Potrillo.”
