Here’s When Willy Chavarría x Adidas Will Drop Their Spring/Summer Collection

The countdown is officially on for the Willy Chavarría x Adidas Spring/Summer drop, now that the dynamic duo has announced a release date for the heritage sportswear collection. The debut release is scheduled to drop on two dates: May 8 and July 10, and will feature a full range of ready-to-wear apparel and sportswear.
A first look at the collaboration made its first public appearance on the runway last September, where it was originally presented at Chavarria’s Spring 2025 runway show titled América at New York fashion week.
In addition to apparel, the collaboration also includes two sneakers, the Chavarría Jabbar Low and Chavarría Jabbar Dress. The reimagined design is credited to the archival Adidas Jabbar sneaker, originally created for basketball legend Kareem Abdul Jabaar.
The Jabbar sneaker by Chavarría is a modern take on the adidas classic, and arrives in black and white colorways. The sneaker is presented in a slender silhouette with a suede and leather construction. Subtle in its design, the shoe relies on premium material to deliver a statement and offers a clear reference to the basketball legend by imprinting “Kareem” along the signature stripes.
While images of the white Jabbar sneaker have yet to be released, Willy is wearing a full Adidas look in an interview with Adidas published today (May 1). Maybe the white sneakers are a hint to come?
For Chavarría, collaborating with Adidas was personal. “Working with my close friends and extended family on this project in LA was a powerful and personal experience. It allowed me to capture the beauty of our Brown brothers and sisters against the backdrop that is home to so many of us,” says Chavarría.
Other standout pieces in the drop include a Chicano sweatshirt, a Football Jersey, Track Jacket, Wide Leg Track pants, Gym Shorts and more signature Chavarría apparel pieces in the first drop. The second drop, scheduled for July 10 will be a continuation of the brand and designer’s synergy, featuring a poplin track pant and top, basketball jersey and gym shorts.

The Adidas Originals and Willy Chavarria SS25 will be available in select retailers, on the CONFIRMED app, and on WillyChavarría.com. The first drop will be released on May 8.
