The 28th annual Loisaida Fest kicks off on May 24th with Calma Carmona playing the main stage, known for having “playfulness of a contemporary soul singer like Duffy, the strong sensuality of Sade, and the feistiness of La Lupe, with a sweet personality to boot.” The fest hosts the largest ethnic community pride festival in the city’s Lower East Side.
