Method is celebrating Our Heritage Month in the best way possible with its new limited-edition Artist Collection, closing the gap for products released during Latine Heritage Month that don’t resonate with the cultu
re by putting communities in charge of the design. Seven next-generation Latine artists from San Juan, Miami, New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Phoenix, and Houston designed these limited-edition bottles, each co-creating a body wash bottle rooted in their city, their heritage, and their creative vision.
Larissa De Jesús Negrón from San Juan designed the Pineapple, tangerine, white peach bottle, Derek Abella who is Miami based designed the Lily of the valley, amber, rose bottle, Brazilian artist Camila Rosa residing in New York City designed the Vanilla chai, cashmere, santal bottle, Mel Depaz representing Los Angeles designed the Water lily, coconut, solar bloom bottle, Maria Garcia Vargas from Chicago designed the raspberry, heavy cream, layer cake bottle, Ashley Macias in Phoenix designed the Cactus blossom, white sands, jasmine bottle, and David Maldonado from Houston designed the Peach nectar, honey, sweet vanilla bottle.
Each scent will transport you to the home or culture of each artist who designed a bottle. “My design celebrates the feeling of welcoming nature into the home, and the tropical fragrance deepens that connection. Together, they embody a relationship with the natural world that has always been central to my practice as an artist,” Puerto Rican artist Larissa De Jesús Negrón shared.
Whether it’s from September 15-October 15, the Latine community is often overlooked in many spaces, including beauty, wellness, and art; with these bottles, each artist wanted to not only represent a country or city, but help everyone feel seen in every aspect. “My work has always been about celebrating those who don’t fit the mold—their strength, their stories, their joy. I wanted this design to represent the people I capture in my art—bold and completely themselves,” Brazilian artist Camila Rosa expressed.
The collection also celebrates method’s San Francisco roots with a bottle depicting the Golden Gate Bridge and the Painted Ladies, designed in-house by method’s creative team, with notes of marshmallow, strawberry, and spun sugar, a nod to where the company calls home. The limited-edition body wash collection is formulated with nourishing ingredients to cleanse and moisturize skin, made without parabens and phthalates, cruelty-free, and packaged in bottles composed of 80% recycled plastic, excluding the caps.
The limited-edition body wash collection will be available while supplies last at retailers nationwide and methodproducts.com. Ashley Macias and David Maldonado designs will be available exclusively at Walmart, while Camila Rosa’s will be available at Target, and you can get Mel Depaz and Maria Garcia Vargas designs at Ulta Beauty.
