INTERVIEW: Erubey de Anda on Loyalty to Lupillo Rivera After ‘La Casa de Los Famosos’ Exit

Telemundo

Mexican model, singer, and influencer Erubey de Anda is now the sixth contestant eliminated from Telemundo’s hit reality show La Casa de Los Famosos: All Stars. And Remezcla caught up with her just days after her elimination, as she was still adjusting to life outside the house and everything she left behind.

Naturally, her relationship with Lupillo Rivera was the perfect jumping off point. Throughout the show, many contestants commented on and disapproved of their relationship. It got to the point where they were often calling her Rivera’s shadow. When we asked her about it, she gave us a full run down in Spanish, which we translated for this interview.

“Clearly, what happens inside the house is very different from what is seen from the outside,” de Anda explained. “The puddle (Room Agua) got disintegrated, so I didn’t have many options. If you start spending time with other contestants [outside of your room], it is seen as disloyalty. That’s why we were always together and did everything together.”

Mexican-American singer Rivera, who finished third in the previous season of La Casa de Los Famosos, has a reputation for attaching himself to a contestant and using them as part of his game strategy. So, when we asked de Anda if she believed her connection with Rivera led to her elimination, she quickly responded with, “I’m a very loyal person, and that’s what makes me so real. If the audience decided for me to leave, that’s okay.”

The singer of “A lo Loco,” among other songs, wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea inside the house either. Contestants like Niurka Marcos and Laura Bozzo frequently commented on her actions. And like it or not, it created a narrative around her. But that didn’t stop de Anda. She remained true to herself. “I always represented myself faithfully. People will always talk,” said de Anda. “There are people who don’t support me, but I send love to everyone.”

When speaking to de Anda, it was a welcome surprise how composed she was, even when speaking about contestants who constantly criticized her within the house and after her elimination. Wanting to know a little bit more about the flow of the house and who she thought were the most toxic contestants, we asked about those toxic contestants. Because we weren’t in the house. She was. And that’s an invaluable perspective. De Anda said, “Niurka, who insulted me every day. Adame is controlled now, but we all know he is also a little toxic. And Rey, who has a good heart but sparks up like a wick.” She also added that she often said, “God protect me,” because of how toxic the environment was inside the house.

To end the interview on a positive note, we asked de Anda who she truly believed had the best chance of making it to the finale of La Casa de los Famosos: All Stars. “Lupillo,” she said without missing a beat. “He is a very intelligent person who knows the game. Some of his strategies haven’t worked, but he’s getting there.” But that wasn’t all. De Anda also mentioned who deserves to make it to the finale. For her it’s Luca, Caramelo and Manelyk, because they are funny and give good content.

It’s only been six weeks since the real-life telenovela La Casa de Los Famosos: All Stars began, and things are heating up fast. We’ll have to stay tuned to see who truly makes it to the end.

La Casa de Los Famosos next elimination is on Monday, May 24, 2025 on Telemundo.
