Cultura Dura is a Remezcla and Mike’s HARDER content and event series highlighting emerging Latin urban culture. We’ll be exploring scenes that haven’t really gotten any coverage anywhere else – from block parties and street art to underground sports and raw, young artists making movements pa’ la calle.
Née: Claudia Alexandra Feliciano.
Raíces: San Jose/San Diego, CA but currently in Fort Worth, TX.
Sounds like: your prima Chicana who loves Busta Rhymes more than she’ll ever love The Smiths.
You should listen to Snow Tha Product because…you’re going to regret not being on the ground floor of her career when she reaches the top.
If your list of Top Five Hardest Working Rappers Currently In The Game does not include Snow Tha Product, then we’re gonna have to ask you to re-evaluate your criteria for said list as well as check your personal taste in music. In just seven years, Snow has grown from a local favorite tearing it up in English and Spanish, to running a small empire (Wake Ya Game Up/Woke Nation), and appearing at this year’s BET Hip-Hop Awards.
Her hustle is just as hard as her flow and rhymes. Snow has built a fanbase thanks to her rapid-fire delivery which has impressed the likes of Tech N9ne, a frequent collaborator, DJ Paul, Krizz Kaliko, and many others. However, she’s not afraid to mix things up and try something different, such as when she rapped/sang in Spanish with singer-songwriter Jaime Kohen on his song “Alguien.”
Snow Tha Product’s major label debut, 40z in First Class, will be out later this year via Atlantic Records.
