Spain’s adorable garage pop foursome (formerly known as Deers) went from zero to one hundred real quick this year. With only two demos under their belt – and without having ever played a live gig –they got written up by NME, which led to a string of international gigs and fast-tracked them to buzz band status and Ibero-American music blog darlings. “[It’s] insane,” said Carlotta on the subject of their whip-quick ascent. “Well, not insane. Just very 21st century.”
We kicked it with the girls in the lead-up to their first-ever NYC gig, and confirmed our suspicion that they’re the band you most want to hang out drunk in a bowling alley with.
