If you’re an electronic music geek, you might wonder if a track uses an actual synth or a VST. Or how much real performance happens during an artist’s live set. Is it all sequenced and tweaked or are you actually hearing an oscillator’s cut-off messed with. Trying to figure that out can get a little esoteric, so we’re teaming up with some of our favorite producers to give you a look inside their live rigs. Are they all about laptops, MIDI controllers, and soft-synths? Do they perform an all-live set or maybe a mix of both?
