Leave it to Remezcla Studios to make some noise during Latin music’s biggest week by spotlighting an influential artist in música Mexicana, Carín León.
In partnership with AT&T, Remezcla Studios hosted an intimate listening session on November 12 with música Mexicana superstar and Latin GRAMMY winner Carín León. The event brought heavy hitters in the music industry, artists, influencers, music producers, and other industry professionals to the Arlo in Wynwood, where they enjoyed light bites in a relaxed atmosphere.

“Latin GRAMMYs week is a huge moment for us. Regional Mexican music has had such a powerful influence worldwide, and celebrating it with an artist like Carín León allows us to honor that impact and connect deeply with our audience,” Thatiana Diaz, Remezcla’s Editor-in-Chief, said about the evening. “This event is a testament to our commitment to elevating Latine voices and bringing our community together in unforgettable ways.”
The consumption of música Mexicana has grown by 60% in the past year. León has become one of the most influential regional Mexican artists in today’s musical catalog. Besides his successful Boca Chueca 2024 Tour, which’s currently taking him across the country, Carín debuted on three big stages: Coachella 2024, Stagecoach 2024, and the Grand Ole Opry.

“Soy el primer Latino en participar en el festival más grande de country a nivel mundial, para mi es muy importante. También, estuve en el Grand Ole Opry pero más que ser el primer mexicano, también soy el primer Latino que es aceptado por esa comunidad tan importante del género country. Nos llena de mucho orgullo,” León shared with the crowd during the listening session.
“Yo siempre hablo de mi música como mi música, y no tanto como un nicho, que sería el regional mexicano. La verdad yo lo uso con mucha esencia, usó los instrumentos del regional mexicano,” he continued.
Traditionally, Remezcla Studios is an event held in Las Vegas during Latin GRAMMY week. This year, it was brought to Miami, in partnership with AT&T, to highlight Carín’s Boca Chueca 2024 Tour and continue connecting Latine creatives.

“Remezcla Studios’ listening sessions offer an intimate look into the creative journeys of today’s most impactful artists. Partnering with AT&T, we had the honor of hosting Carín León, an artist we’ve covered for years as we’ve watched his rise,” said Joel Moya, Remezcla’s Director of Artists and Label Relations.
After sharing a few words, Carín played four of his hit songs: “Te Lo Agradezco,” “Frene Mis Pies,” “Según Quien,” and “Despídase Bien.” Two songs, “Te Lo Agradezco,” featuring Kany Garcia and “Según Quien,” featuring Maluma, are nominated for a Latin GRAMMY in the same Song of the Year category.
“Yo creci escuchando el regional Mexicano y demográficamente de donde soy, escuche mucho a Adan Chalino Sanchez,” Carín shared his music influences between song performances. “Pero al mismo tiempo, viniendo de frontera mi padre también escuchaba muchísimo rock y musica en Inglés como Queen y Journey.”
“Hearing him share the stories behind four pivotal tracks in his career and treating us to an impromptu performance deepened our connection not just with his music but with the artist himself, reaffirming our commitment to celebrating música Mexicana,” Moya said, closing the special night.

The intimate atmosphere was perfect for attendees like Dylan Del Olmo, a GRAMMY-winning mix engineer, to network. “Investing in Latino brands is more than just backing a business—it’s amplifying voices, culture, and talent that deserve to be on a global stage,” he said. “The world is listening, and the future of music is in the richness of our diverse sounds.”

Others in attendance were one-half of CoastCity, Jean Rodriguez, Dominican artist Yailin La Más Viral, and notable DJ Alex Sensation.
