Alternatino With Arturo Castro is coming back and at the right time. (We need all the laughter we can get right about now.) The sketch comedy show by creator, writer and star Arturo Castro (Broad City, Narcos, Flipped) and Comedy Central Productions, will return for season two, but under a new home. Season two of Alternatino will be available to stream on Quibi, the recently-launched mobile-only media technology platform.
“I’m thrilled to launch Alternatino in this exciting new platform while being able to remain a part of the Comedy Central family. I’m also thrilled about the churro truck they offered as part of the deal. Thanks Quibi! Mmm…churros,” said the Guatemalan creator and actor.
Alternatino is a fan favorite. For the first season, Castro tackled cultural issues and stereotypes through satire, while playing more than 40 characters across 10 episodes. Only season two will be available on Quibi, as season one of the show will remain on Comedy Central’s platforms. No word yet on exactly when season two will air.
