Angus Cloud, one of Euphoria’s most beloved actors, passed away yesterday (July 31). The Oakland-bred actor was 25. Since then, his colleagues and other stars have expressed their condolences online.

Latine stars that have penned their respects to the actor include Becky G, Colman Domingo, and Alexa Demie. Becky, who worked with Cloud on the “MAMIII” music video, wrote: “Angus, I’ll never forget talking about what it meant to be some Cali kids doing it big. You really didn’t care about the flashy lights or fancy events. Your rawness and authenticity were my favorite things about being around you. Truly at a loss for words…”

Domingo, who plays Ali Muhammad in Euphoria, posted his condolences via an Instagram story. “Couldn’t be more real, original, and sweet. Loved this kid. Always smiles. I hope this sensitive soul is at rest,” he wrote in the post with a photo of them. “Check on loved ones. Check on them.” He also posted an Instagram photo with the caption: “And that was his smile. That was him. May he rest sweetly in peace.” Moreover, Euphoria colleague Demie posted a singular heartbroken emoji on her Instagram story.

The tragic news broke yesterday (July 31). “It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today,” Cloud’s family told TMZ. “As an artist, a friend, a brother, and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways.”

They said he was coping with the loss of his father on top of his ongoing mental health challenges. “Last week, he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend. Angus was open about his battle with mental health, and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence.”

“We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter, and love for everyone. We ask for privacy at this time as we are still processing this devastating loss,” the family concluded.
