Puerto Rican actor Anthony Ramos is getting a few unique co-stars for his next project when he teams up with some Autobots and Decepticons. Ramos will star in the seventh installment of the Transformers live-action film series, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

While plot details have not been released yet, the outlet is reporting that the studio is currently looking for the woman lead who will play opposite Ramos in the sci-fi action film.

What is currently known about the production is that Steven Capel Jr. (Creed II) is directing the new Transformers movie and Joby Harold (Army of the Dead) is writing the screenplay.

The first live-action Transformers movie hit theaters in 2007 and starred Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox. It was followed up with the sequels Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen in 2009, Transformers: Dark of the Moon in 2011, Transformers: Age of Extinction in 2014 and Transformers: The Last Knight in 2017.

In 2018, the franchise took another narrative angle by focusing on the human element of the story with the spin-off film Bumblebee. It became the best reviewed movie of the entire series.

This summer, Ramos will be seen in the new musical In the Heights, which is based on the Lin-Manuel Miranda stage play he starred in nearly a decade ago. He also finished production last November on the film Distant where he will play an asteroid miner who crash lands on a distant planet and must find a way to survive.
