A couple of weeks after fans of The Mandalorian went crazy online after The Child (also known as Baby Yoda) heartlessly ate some unfertilized eggs that were part of an endangered species, the infant alien returned for episode four of the second season to snack on something else that had social media buzzing.
This time, Baby Yoda got his tiny green hands on some tasty macarons and couldn’t stop munching away. During a trip to Nevarro to get his ship repaired, Mando reluctantly leaves Baby Yoda behind in a classroom so that he, Greef Karga (Carl Weathers) and Cara Dune (Gina Carano) can step out and “talk business.”
During his time in class with other students, Baby Yoda notices that the young boy sitting in the desk next to him, played by first-time actor Daniel Negrete, is enjoying some aqua-colored macarons. Baby Yoda gestures to the boy asking if he can have one, but the boy gives a stern “no” before turning away.
Baby Yoda, however, won’t take no for an answer and uses the Force to steal the cookies from the boy. Later in the episode when he is back with Mando on his ship, he is still nibbling on the tasty treats, but apparently has too many and ends up vomiting them up as Mando chases after a TIE fighter.
We’re not sure why the young Latino kid wouldn’t share his macarons with Baby Yoda, but next time writers should feature flan or tres leches instead. We’re sure Baby Yoda would like those desserts a lot more.
New episodes of The Mandalorian hit Disney+ every Friday.
