Bad Bunny left his mark at the Oscars. On March 10, the Puerto Rican artist presented Best International Film in Spanish during the 96th Academy Awards alongside The Rock. The prestigious award show is taking place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, CA.

Benito is celebrating his birthday in a big way. Not only did he drop a surprise music video for his hard-hitting song “ACHO PR,” but he also presented an award at the Oscars. The Puerto Rican icon teamed up with his WWE colleague Dwayne Johnson – also known as The Rock – to announce the winner of Best International Film.

The introduction song featured Benito’s “MONACO” song from his latest album nadie sabe lo que va a pasar mañana. And unlike last year’s Grammy’s closed captioning reading “Speaking non-English” fiasco, the Academy Awards had English captions ready for El Conejo Malo’s native language.

“Cinema is a universal language that speaks to the common threads that bind us together,” Benito said in Spanish, representing his home’s language to the masses. The Rock responds jokingly saying he’s not such a “bad bunny” and also wished him a happy birthday. The Academy Award winner for Best International Film this year was awarded to The Zone of Interest.

Social media users are thrilled about the Latine representation.

Other Latine presenters this year include America Ferrera, Anya Taylor-Joy, Rita Moreno, and Lupita Nyong’o. The Oscars are currently airing live on ABC.

Up next, El Conejo Malo is going to continue his Most Wanted Tour at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, CA, on March 13-15.
