Just like that, Cree Cicchino has her next project. The actress is one of four young actors who have been cast in the upcoming Sex and the City reboot titled And Just Like That. Cree, a half-Ecuadorian and half-Italian actress, has appeared in the series Mr. Iglesias and The Sleepover, both streaming on Netflix. She’ll be playing Luisa Torres in And Just Like That.

Cicchino joins Cathy Ang (Ramy, Over the Moon), who plays Lily, Charlotte’s (Kristin Davis) eldest daughter Alexa Swinton is Rose, the younger sister to Lily and second daughter to Charlotte. Swinton recently appeared alongside Gael Garcia Bernal in M. Night Shyamalan’s Old as one of his daughters. Niall Cunningham (Life in Pieces) is Brady Hobbes, the son of Miranda (Cynthia Nixon). Cicchino and her character come into play in the series as Brady’s girlfriend.

The half-hour series will have 10 episodes and air on HBO Max. It will chronicle the complicated journey and reality of Carrie Bradshaw, Miranda Hobbes, and Charlotte York’s friendship in their 50’s in New York City. And though the premiere date has not been announced yet, production is well underway, with pictures already on social media and on several fan sites.

One fan account writes on Instagram, “Obviously Brady seems to be in a relationship… But since I saw these pictures I can‘t get the idea of Brady and Lily out of my head… What about you? Do you think we will get the love story we deserve?” A look at the picture, and you can see Cree standing next to Niall.

The returning cast of Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis are also joined by the talented Sara Ramírez (Grey’s Anatomy). Ramírez plays a non-binary stand-up comedian and podcaster known as Che Diaz. They will be seen working with Parker’s character Bradshaw regularly. And what makes this casting even more special is that Ramírez is an openly non-binary person and an Emmy nominee for playing the longest-running LGBTQ+ character on TV.
