“You know, if they had judged me on cuteness, I’d have won.” Those are the words of the latest celeb to be unmasked on The Masked Singer: Danny Trejo.

The actor’s been the go-to bad guy for casting directors in Hollywood for decades. He’s been “El Moco,” “Machete,” and even a “Regulator.” Today, he adds raccoon to his credits.

It’s not as if the clues weren’t there. The racoon held up a magnifying glass–an obvious ode to his Spy Kids role. He was also a boxer on the show–a callback to his real life welterweight boxing titles.

Still, the judging panel had other ideas about his identity. Jenny McCarthy, who Trejo gave a heartfelt “thank you” for her work with autistic children as Trejo is raising two of his own, guessed the raccoon was Jon Voight. Ken Jeong’s guess was Mike Tyson–at least that boxing clue didn’t go to waste. Other guesses included Joe Pesci and Nick Notle.

“I am dying to know who this is!” said panelist Robin Thicke.

“I’ve got over 350 credits on IMDB and I gotta say, this is, you know, one of the top three. It was just so much fun,” Trejo giddly said after his unmasking. “I was rocking harder than Steven Tyler.” Over the course of the show Trejo performed renditions of “Wild Thing” by The Troggs and “Ring of Fire” by Johnny Cash.

As for the raccoon costume, Trejo says it resembles his dog. “His name is John Wesley Hardin. Now, John Wesley Hardin was the meanest cowboy, once shot a man for snoring too loud, and my dog looks just like that.”
