Audiences are sailing through the latest season of Orange is the New Black and wondering where is Maritza? Well, you’re in luck, because Maritza herself, actress Diane Guerrero has just lined up a new gig, playing a character who’d seem right at home in Lichtfield prison.

It’s being reported that Guerrero will take on the role of Crazy Jane in Doom Patrol, a 13-episode series premiering in 2019 on DC Universe, the new streaming platform helmed by Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment. Crazy Jane is a character with 64 distinct personalities recruited by Cyborg to explore the “weirdest and most unexpected corners of the DC Universe.” Other members of the Doom Patrol include Elasti-Woman, Robotman, Negative Man, and Dr. Niles Caulder. Guerrero joins the already cast April Bowlby who plays Elasti-Woman.

The series begins production this year, which sounds like it wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility for her to drop in on her BFF Jane Villenueva in the final season of Jane the Virgin this year or return to Orange is the New Black for season seven. Really, the world just needs more Diane Guerrero. It’s actually ironic that I say that considering she’s set to play a character with 64 personalities. That’s definitely a lot of Guerrero.

Doom Patrol will stream on DC Universe sometime in 2019.
