Miami-based designers and power couple Ray and Eilyn Jimenez are returning to reality television this season with the announcement of their latest show Divided by Design set to premiere on HGTV on August 20th.

In the nine-episode series, Ray and Eilyn run dueling interior design firms and bid against each other to win over potential clients with their distinct design aesthetics. Ray leans towards a modern eclectic approach, while Eilyn blends old world influences with a timeless functional flair. Only one competitor will seal the deal and deliver the sought-after transformation – all within the backdrop of the Miami housing market.

The Jimenez’ are no strangers to reality television. In 2022, the duo premiered their first reality design show, Designing Miami which showcased interior transformations for luxury clients with quick turnarounds and major team developments that brought viewers inside the scope of the business.

Despite running opposing design firms and competing for clients, the Dominican-Cuban duo are all for healthy competition. “At the end of the day, you’re still competing with someone you want to win,” says Eilyn Jimenez on the Jennifer Hudson Show, adding “There’s very few times when you compete and you think, I won’t be upset if he wins too.”

Ray adds a humorous and honest twist to her statement, adding “at the end of the day, it goes to the same bank account.”

On Instagram, the duo are sharing behind the scenes footage of their new series, which features snapshots of their consultations, interviews, and filming adventures, ahead of the season premiere on August 20th at 9 PM ET on HGTV.
