Actress Eiza González is in the middle of some major casting rumors in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The gossip currently spreading online is that she will join the reboot of the Daredevil TV series, which ran for three seasons on Netflix before being canceled in 2018.

And which character might González be taking on when a new season of the series debuts on Disney+ in the future? Rumors point to González replacing actress Élodie Yung as Elektra Natchios, a fierce love interest for the superhero title character.

According to We Got This Covered, the rumors stem from a post on a Reddit forum where moderators allege they received information that will be announced at the San Diego Comic-Con, which takes place July 21-24.

The information uploaded to the Reddit forum includes the rumor that the name of the series will be Daredevil: Man Without Fear, which is the name of a series of Marvel comic books that debuted in 1993. The info also includes rumors about other MCU projects like an Incredible Hulk series called World War Hulk and a new Deadpool movie. “As always, take this with a grain of salt,” the page reads.

González was last seen earlier this year in the action thriller Ambulance as an EMT whose emergency vehicle is hijacked by a pair of bank robbers. Next, she will star in two separate TV series – Extrapolations for AppleTV+ and The Three-Body Problem for Netflix. She’s also been cast in a biopic to play legendary Mexican actress Maria Félix.
