Eva Longoria is making her debut on an episode of the animated Disney+ TV series The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder. The show is a revival of the original The Proud Family, which aired on the Disney Channel from 2001 to 2005.

The new series, which debuted this past February, follows the adventures of 14-year-old Penny Proud (Kyla Pratt) and her family and some new friends like Maya (Keke Palmer) and KG (A Boogie), teenage siblings raised by two dads.

Longoria will lend her voice to Melrose, the “snooty and overly critical sister” of Sunset Boulevardez (Maria Canals-Barrera). In the episode, her character Melrose visits her daughter LaBrea (Princess Nokia) to celebrate the quinceañera of her niece LaCienega (Alisa Reyes).

It might be a time to celebrate, but in the exclusive clip shared with Remezcla, the fashionable Melrose walks around with an air about her and makes everyone scowl with her insensitive remarks. For example, when Sunset introduces her to Penny’s mother, Trudy (Paula Jai Parker), she calls her Tracy. When she is gently corrected about her mistake, she responds, “No, Tracy suits you so much better,” and walks off.

According to the character description from Disney+, “Melrose has a habitual tendency to pretentiously critique Sunset’s decorative choices and belittle her by bragging about all the exotic places she has visited.”

We see this in the clip when Melrose criticizes the Paris-themed quinceañera by saying, “I’ve been to Paris, and this doesn’t compare.” She also calls the DJ “viejo” and tells Sunset and Trudy about the popular DJ she and her husband are booking for their daughter’s birthday.

We’re sure there’s a Melrose in every family. Hopefully, she’ll get her just deserts before the party’s over.
