On Sunday, September 6, Bad Bunny made a spectacular Emmy debut when The Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show took home seven awards, becoming the night’s most-awarded production. The wins included Outstanding Variety Special (Live), choreography, production design, music direction, and an Emmy recognizing Bad Bunny himself. The halftime show entered the night with a record-setting nine nominations.

Of course, the Puerto Rican superstar is no stranger to television. He has hosted Saturday Night Live, appeared in Narcos: Mexico, and acted in films like Bullet Train and Caught Stealing. So we started wondering: what role could earn him an Emmy for Lead Actor? Here are a few TV show ideas that might get him there.

A Bear-style kitchen drama set at a Miami lechón sandwich spot on the brink of collapse, where the head chef—played by Benito himself—risks it all for one last shot at stardom.

Or something more ambitious: a Boricua remake of The Sopranos. BB could play the head of a mafia organization while trying to balance his personal life with his day job. Mixing crime, drama, and comedy is a surefire way to get people paying attention.

Another option: cast him as a mysterious guest in the next season of The White Lotus. He could have brief interactions with the rest of the cast at the luxury resort, while social media spins wild conspiracies about who he really is—and what he wants.

An ambitious but potent choice would be for Benito to lead the next season of True Detective in Puerto Rico. As one of the titular detectives, he could investigate a murder that uncovers ties to santería, government corruption, and Caribbean folk horror. This one makes us giddy.

Lastly, a Friday Night Lights-like sports dramedy about an underdog baseball team and its inspiring-yet-broken-up coach (played by Bad Bunny) could really bring out the best in both his acting and his ability to carry a series.

All we’re saying is: Benito has shown he’s not afraid to try something new, and he commits to the challenge. Any of these shows would be a must-watch for us.
