I just got back from Miami, where I endured sunburn and Cubans smiling politely and with a hint of pity when they found out I was Puerto Rican. While there, I found out about Arroz Rico – down there, the commercials are so much a part of the public consciousness that everyone was shocked I’d never seen them. They’re catchy as hell in that advertise-y way. Did these air elsewhere in the states?
And, of course, the reggaeton one.
Was anyone else touched by these commercials as a kid? I feel like I missed out big time.
