Admit it, you’ve been following East Los High. Maybe you graduated from high school ten years ago, but back then no show came even close to portraying the gritty reality of high school life in our working class barrios. Now we’re a little older — some might say too old to be watching shows about high schoolers — but dammit, we deserved a show like East Los High. So better late than never, right?
Season three of Hulu’s original teen drama left us off with the Bomb Squad at the top of their game, but still facing some tough challenges, while Eddie finally came out as undocumented, and Jesus and Camila’s relationship continues to put on the heat. In other words, it would be a terrible time to get word that East Los High won’t be coming back. Luckily, Hulu has announced the series is their first to be officially renewed for a fourth season. That’s right, East Los High is going to be a senior.
We guess time flies when you’re watching the next generation of Latino actors come into their own, and even if East Los High isn’t your thing, you can be sure the young talent fostered on this show will be blowing up screens across the nation in just a few years.
