Look for a cameo from Oscar-winning filmmaker Guillermo del Toro (Pinocchio) during an upcoming episode in HBO’s black comedy series Barry.

The news was mentioned by Barry co-creator, executive producer and star Bill Hader while talking to the media from the red carpet on Sunday for the season 4 premiere.

“Hello Latino America,” Hader said. “Oh, I hope you guys like episode … One of the episodes this season has a very nice cameo from Guillermo del Toro. He’s in the show. He’s the best, but that’s all I can say.”

Although Hader didn’t reveal which upcoming episode del Toro would make his cameo in, he held up three fingers when he mentioned del Toro’s name. He also confirmed with Deadline that del Toro will be seen in the third episode, which airs on April 23.

We’re not sure if a del Toro cameo means he will be playing himself or another character. For context, filmmaker Jay Roach (Bombshell) played himself in one episode of the second season.

During an interview with Rotten Tomatoes, Hader revealed that del Toro asked to be in an episode because he’s a big fan of the show.

“He was just like, ‘Hey, I love your show and I’d love to be on it,’” Hader said. ‘I said, ‘Oh, okay.’ So, I wrote him a part.”

Hader added: “And then he came in and he was great, you know? He was just super game. Knew his lines. Had two different takes on the scene – did them both. He was great. Wonderful guy.”

Guillermo del Toro even had some time to tease Hader on the set by questioning some of his directorial choices. Season 4 is the first where Hader directs all eight episodes. “He was f—ing with me a little bit,” Hader joked.
