Actor Ismael Cruz Córdova made a huge impact on the TV industry as the first Latine elf in The Lord of the Rings franchise in The Rings of Power on Amazon Prime. Two months after the series premiere, the Puerto Rican star is starting to think about what other segments of the entertainment industry he’d like to break into.

While we’re sure Córdova would welcome more acting roles, what’s really been on his mind is doing something major with his talents as a musician.

“Recently, I’ve had this dream of making an album because I love singing and writing music,” Córdova told Belgium-based magazine Behind the Blinds. “I love melodies, and music is just the friggin’ best thing there is, so I do regret not having made an album yet, and I’m looking forward to doing that.”

Córdova did get the opportunity to show off some of his music abilities early in his career during his 12-episode stint on the long-running children’s TV series Sesame Street. On the show, he played Mando, a Latine writer and techie who would teach kids and Muppets about Latine identity and traditions through song.

If an album of kid’s songs isn’t in Córdova’s future, maybe he’ll release one featuring covers of his favorite tracks from the 1960s. One of those songs, “Aquarius,” he said, has lived “rent-free” in his head for the last 15 years.

And what about the film industry? He’s already part of a massive media franchise with The Lord of the Rings, so might there be a movie franchise he’d like to audition for? How about playing a superhero or the next James Bond?

“I’m still looking for my superhero,” Córdova said. “I would love to play one. He’s still out there. Also, maybe a rom-com. I heard there is a superstition that you shouldn’t say you want to be the next James Bond, so I won’t!”

Don’t worry, Ismael Cruz Córdova. We’ll say it for you. You would make an amazing James Bond, something we desperately want to see now.

Just look at him in this suit.
