According to a post Kap G shared on his Facebook last night, he’ll have a part in the upcoming feature film Dope, directed by Rick Famuyiwa (The Wood, Brown Sugar), playing a character named “Fidel.”

Kap isn’t the only rap talent that will be featured in the film, which is premiering at Sundance this month – details have been trickling out over the last several months, and Indiewire reports that rappers A$AP Rocky and Tyga are also cast-members, as well as Zöe Kravitz and Chanel Iman. Producers include Forrest Whittaker, and Kap-mentor Pharrell, who will be contributing original music to the film. Starring Shameik Moore, Tony Revolori and Kiersey Clemons, Dope follows a trio of geeky best friends growing up in a gang-run part of Inglewood, California who inadvertently get caught up in a drug buy gone bad.

Doesn’t look like Kap is on the IMDB page for the project, but we’re hoping his scenes made the cut and we’ll get to see him on the big screen. Catch the full synopsis of the film on the Sundance website here, and watch the official trailer, released this morning on Entertainment Weekly.
