For The Disney Family Singalong: Volume II, ABC went even bigger than the first time around. Gathering stars to perform Disney classics from the comfort of their own homes, the follow-up special had the likes of Katy Perry, Idina Menzel, John Legend and Seth Rogen bringing some much needed joy to families everywhere. One tender moment that captured the night was Miguel and Christina Aguilera’s bilingual rendition of Coco‘s “Remember Me.” Armed only with some marigolds and some candles, Miguel cooed his way through one of the most heartbreaking songs in Disney-Pixar’s repertoire — one that was especially apt for a special that aired on Mother’s Day.
Miguel had already teased out the remote duet on his Instagram but seeing the whole thing was even more touching, especially as he and Aguilera were joined by an all-female Mariachi band. If you’re eager for an ugly cry, let these two talented performers bowl you over with their take on the Oscar-winning Coco song.
