It was just four months ago that audiences returned to school with the cast of Netflix’s soapy teenage murder mystery, Elite. It’s a show we’ve been obsessing over since it premiered back in 2018 and now that it’s given up its murder plotline, it’s been embracing melodrama in the best way possible.

With the second season underway and two new characters introduced, Netflix is wasting no time in preparing for a new installment. The eight-episode third season will debut on the streaming service sometime in March of this year. This gives audiences plenty of time to catch up with one of Netflix’s most popular shows.

If you don’t remember, Elite followed three working-class students attending the most prestigious private school in Spain, Las Encinas. Relationships are formed and class distinctions are discussed, leading to the group eventually being interrogated for a murder. With that all resolved in season two, a new mystery pops up when one of the students disappears and how it might connect to the murder from the previous season.

Netflix’s Spanish-language programming has been on fire over the last few months. The service just announced the second season of the demon drama Diablero and the fourth season of La Casa de Papel is on its way. The streaming service continues to fund and give worldwide access to unique Spanish-language programs like this that are getting diverse audiences they might not have originally.

Elite season three is coming to Netflix in March of 2020.
