The cast of Community will be reuniting to raise funds for organizations helping those impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
After six seasons, the cast of the NBC show, including the creator Dan Harmon, will be hopping on a Zoom call for a virtual table read and fan Q&A. Fans can submit their questions for the cast on social media by using the hashtag #AskCommunity and tagging @CommunityTV.
For the table read, the cast will read from the season 5, episode 4, “Cooperative Polygraphy,” which aired six years ago (January 16, 2014). The “bottle episode” had the entire Community gang reunited to go over Pierce’s will — taking place almost entirely in real time. Aka a perfect one for a live read of this sort. Cast members to join include Donald Glover, Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Yvette Nicole Brown, Alison Brie, Jim Rash and Ken Jeong. The reunion comes five years after its final season in 2015. There’s more though! They’ll be joined by a special guest, Pedro Pascal, The Mandalorian himself!
“As part of the event, fans will be asked to contribute to two charities: José Andrés’ World Central Kitchen and Frontline Foods, both of which are involved in COVID-19 relief efforts to get fresh, nourishing meals to responders working on the frontlines and vulnerable communities across the country.” reports Variety. “Sony Pictures Television will contribute to the charities on behalf of the Community family, while fans will also be asked to donate to the Community fund here: wck.org/community.”
