In the last few years, Pedro Pascal has clashed with several intimidating adversaries – from a terrifying Krayt Dragon in The Mandalorian to infected humans in The Last of Us. Now, Pascal will come face to face with what just might be his most challenging opponent to date – “The Wings of Death.”

On Thursday (March 9), an episode of the YouTube talk show Hot Ones will be released with Pascal appearing as the guest. Currently, in its 20th season, Hot Ones challenges celebrities to eat a series of hot wings while being interviewed by show host Sean Evans. The 10 wings served to celebrities are flavored with different hot sauces, and each one increases in heat.

Last week, Jenna Ortega (Scream VI) scored an impressive victory against “The Wings of Death” when she ran through the spicy gauntlet without flinching. Other recent Latine guests who have made an appearance on Hot Ones in the last few years include Zoe Saldaña in season 19, Tessa Thompson in season 18, and Salma Hayek in season 16.

So, how well do you think Pascal will do? He was born in Chile, so even the name of his home country gives him an advantage. Also, we’re going to assume as a Latine, Pascal has a lot of experience eating spicy food. As Ortega said last week, “I come from a strong family. They’ve got strong taste buds, so I think we’ll be good.”

As confident as we are about Pascal’s threshold for pain, we are a bit worried about one of the 10 hot sauces that he will taste during the show. No, not sauce No. 8, Da’ Bomb Beyond Insanity, which is always the sauce that scorches guests’ mouths the most. Instead, we’re talking about sauce No. 6 – Mushroom Mayhem. If we were Pascal, we’d stay as far away from fungus as possible.
