Puerto Rican actress Scarlett Spears is stepping into an iconic role. Spears has just been announced as young Glinda in Wicked: For Good. The second part of the adaptation of the hit Broadway musical is set to hit theaters on November 21, 2025.

Her management agency confirmed the news on Instagram.

“We’ve been keeping a WICKED secret!!!!! “ 🩷🫧✨👑 Introducing Scarlett Spears as Young Glinda ✨ Wicked: Part Two will hit theaters on November 21, 2025 🩷” the caption for the post read. The young actress, who is active on Instagram, posted a few weeks ago about her Puerto Rican heritage and how proud she was of it. An auspicious time, considering the announcement of her big role.

This is far from Spears’ first role. The actress is known for portraying Donna Corinthos on the ABC daytime soap opera General Hospital. She also appeared in the live-action Dora the Explorer movie as Young Dora. In Wicked: For Good, she will play the younger version of Ariana Grande’s character of Glinda.

Wicked: For Good continues to follow the story of Elphaba, played by Cynthia Erivo. Now thought of as a villain, and called the Wicked Witch of the West, Elphaba lives in exile while her former friend Glinda is living in Emerald City. But as an angry mob rises up against Elphaba, she’ll need to find a way to trust Glinda again so she can make the change she and Oz deserve.
