Netflix is a Joke Fest, the biggest comedy festival in North America, released its initial lineup of comedians participating in the event next year in Los Angeles, and the roster includes a handful of Latine talent who can bring some big laughs.

From May 2-12, 2024, some of the Latine comics taking the stage at the 2024 edition include Ralph Barbosa, Felipe Esparza, Tom Segura, Vanessa Gonzalez, Ken Flores, and René Vaca. According to a press release sent out by Netflix, additional comedians will be announced later.

Barbosa will perform on May 2, 2024 at The Theatre at Ace Hotel. Esparza will perform on May 9, 2024 at the Avalon Hollywood. Segura will perform on May 9, 2024 at The Kia Forum. Gonzalez will perform on May 11, 2024 at the YouTube Theater. Vaca will perform on May 4, 2024 at The Regent Theater. And Flores is the only one who still needs show details.

“This is a special time for comedy, both for Netflix and the genre at large,” Robbie Praw, Netflix VP of Stand-up and Comedy Formats, said in a statement. “We have the privilege of working with comedians who are selling out arenas, winning awards and building fandoms in the millions. This festival aims to capture this moment by bringing together the world’s best comedians for an unforgettable 11 days.”

Barbosa broke out earlier this year when he made his late night debut on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. His first Netflix stand-up special, Ralph Barbosa: Cowabunga, premiered globally in late October. Barbosa will make a stop at the festival while he’s on the road for his own tour, The Super Cool Ass Tour.

Last year’s festival featured more than 330 comedians and sold over 260,000 tickets. In the last decade, Netflix has featured more than 200 comedians in more than 350 comedy specials on its platform.

Tickets for the Netflix is a Joke Fest go on sale December 15, 2023, at 12pm EST.
