A second trailer for the upcoming DC Comics movie The Flash was released on Tuesday (April 25), and fans got to see more of Sasha Calle playing the role of Supergirl, including a scene where she confronts the main villain, General Zod (Michael Shannon).

Along with Calle and Ezra Miller, who plays the title role, the trailer features a lot of Michael Keaton reprising his role as Batman. He even delivers a throwback line from the original 1989 Batman movie: “You wanna get nuts? Let’s get nuts.”

Calle’s Supergirl makes her first appearance in the trailer about a minute and 10 seconds in when she launches into the air. In the following scene, she asks The Flash if he knows what the symbol on her superhero suit stands for. “It means hope, right?” he answers.

Supergirl then tells The Flash that she will help him fight General Zod. Later, she is seen screaming “What did you do?!” with plumes of smoke rising behind her, and then after a few moments, rams an object into Zod’s helmet.

Fans were quick to react with positive comments about Calle’s Supergirl on social media. Many felt just from the trailer that Calle had nailed the character in her own unique way.

Others already believe that once they see The Flash, they’re going to become obsessed with Calle’s character.

Some were hesitant about having their hopes too high because they want this version of Kara to stick around for her own movie.

Others were already calling scenes with Kara and Barry cinema.

Some even had fanvids ready.

And there were some that were ready and seated to defend scenes with Kara and the Barrys.

As a matter of fact, forget all the other superhero characters. There will be plenty of Latines coming to The Flash just to support Calle.

Apparently, DC’s new heads, James Gunn and Peter Safran, haven’t decided if Sasha Calle will be a part of the DC Universe in the future, but if she does as well in The Flash as she did in the trailer, it’s going to be difficult for them to explain why she’s not part of the new DCU.
