Saturday Night Live announced the host and musical guest for May 14th. Fans are super excited to see that Selena Gomez has been asked to host the show for the first time. The sketch comedy show has been on the air for decades and has given pop culture some truly iconic and timeless moments. And we can’t even imagine what the actress and singer will bring to the SNL stage but fans (and Gomez) are already pumped.
Gomez is going to be accompanied by musical guest Post Malone this weekend (May 14) as the two take over SNL. It won’t be Gomez’s first time on the show. She has graced the SNL stage as a musical guest in the past, but this time she is going to be hosting the show so we get to see her in all the sketches they create for her.
There is a lot of hope from Gomez fans that SNL will do the right thing and make sure to incorporate some of the actress’s work on Only Murders in the Building. Gomez stars in the show with SNL alum Martin Short and Steve Martin, who has been a frequent guest and host of the show.
Legit, fans are hoping for a few murdery references on the show as part of Gomez’s hosting debut. The show has been a big success so seeing some kind of reference, even a short cameo from her costars would really highlight the show fans love. Or even the iconic yellow outfit with headphones would be enough for some.
